| Date: | January 26, 2007 | | Name: | Lisa | | Comments: | You don't know us from Eve but I just had to drop you a line and thank you for all the gorgeous pictures that you have posted on your website! My niece who is 11 years old and I are "pen pals" and email each other every day. We both have a big travel bug itching to escape so we have chosen to do a "wishbook" of the places we want to see. Every day we alternate who gets to choose a country and then we have to do a bit of research and pick some things we want to see while we "visit". She has begged me a couple of times to turn this pretend thing into a reality someday. Perhaps she'll see some day that while I adore getting these emails and finding places to drool over; part of this is a hidden education so she appreciates the world and its people as much as I do. Nepal was our country of the day. I started off looking for pictures of Monkey Temple and came across your site. Fabulous! |

I went to South Gate High and my mom still lives in Downey! Your photos are amazing. You lucky person to have such a lovely talent with such passion behind it, I envy you! I currently live on Maui but have just purchased in Woodland Hills. Am always looking/buying artwork. I will purchase some of yours! I currently pay way too much for computer enhanced digital photographs here on Maui, although they are exquisite. Thanks, Dian G |
| Date: | November 13, 2005 | | Name: | Michael Katz | | Location: | Chicago | | Comments: | Your trek into Nepal brought us back to 1989 when my wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a 30-day stay in Nepal. We did the Khumbu trek through Lukla as well as a Chitwan adventure. The photos you took of Lukla indicate how much the area has developed. We landed on a dirt strip with a burned out hulk of a Twin Otter sitting at the end of the runway. Not a reassuring way to start off the trek!!! Your photos brought back so many images of Nepal. I’m astounded by the development of Namche and Lukla. Thanks for the memories. |
| Date: | October 7, 2005 | | Name: | Martin Miranda | | Location: | Michigan | | Comments: | Good day, I am making my church's photo directory and I would like permission to use your fabulous "Sleeping Giant" and "Taranaki Sunset" pictures as a background for my chucrh members digital pictures. This is what I do: I take aperson or family's protrait and then remove the background. Then I take a picture of a landscape and place the person or family on that landscape, which makes it look like the person went on vacation, and this many of them can not afford. Since I recently bought a digital camera, I do not have enough backgrounds to provide one for each family. I will print about 60 copies and it will be distributed at no cost. You really have a talent to discover and capture beauty. Thank you very much and have a blessed day. By the way, you can email me your prayer requests if you have any. |

| Date: | September 13, 2005 | | Name: | Renee Brooks | | Comments: | I am a co-author on an scientific article a group of us are preparing to submit to Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment. Our article is about returning salmon providing a source of nutrients to streams and terrestrial ecosystems in Washington and Oregon, and some of the complex issues around this. We've been wanting to include a picture that shows some animal moving salmon from streams into the surrounding forest, and your picture would be perfect for that since it shows a salmon in a tree. Would you consider allowing us to submit your picture with our article? We will of course give you full credit in the picture legend. If you like, we can send you a draft of the manuscript for your consideration. Please let us know if you might be willing. Thanks very much for your consideration of this issue. |

| Date: | December 23, 2004 | | Name: | Christian Balaceanu | | Location: | Bucharest, Romania | | Comments: | My name is Christian Balaceanu, my greatest hobby are Himalayan Range. I have studied Everest Region Solo Khumbu for 9 years. I'm a faithfull boy, I believe in Chomolugma, Sagarmatha or Myolangsangma. For me Everest is my father and Chomolugma is my mother. I bought a lot of books to study Khumbu, what I know is that thing the villages are beautiful; You were from Namche Bazar to Syamboche from there you saw all Khumbu Valley, from Everest View Hotel you saw most sacred mountain Khumbila, at base of this mountain exist most beautiful villages: Khunde and Khumjung, from there you saw Ama Dablam, Kantega and Thamserku. You started to go to Thyangboche, the way was that to Mong village and from there you went to Phunki Thenge at base of that hill, from Phunki you went to Tengboche, from Tengboche or Thyangboche you saw Nuptse, Everest and Lhotse face. To go in Kalapathar you went to Pangboche and Dingboche, from Dinboche you saw the north side of Ama Dablam. From Dingboche you started to Lobuje, Pheriche and Gorak Shep; from this villages you saw the Nuptse peaks. From Gorak Shep you were in the summit od Kalapathar peak at base of Pumori, from there you saw Everest, South Col, Lhotse, Nuptse, Lho La, and Chagatse. This is a proof how much I studied Khumbu. I live in Bucharest, Romania. Please to send me on my mail this pictures at more big resolution to print this on A4 on photo paper. It is for my soul, I will not use this for any things, is for me, please to believe me when I saw the pictures I cried. I'm a very sensitive boy because I love this mountains from all my soul. I you will send me the pictures at more resolution please to send me at 2 mega for every picture. With all my respects and lots thanks, Yours faithfull, Christian Balaceanu 17 years. |
| Date: | December 9, 2004 | | Name: | Phoebe Frank | | Comments: | I can't believe you DIDN'T paint the rainbow eucalyptus tree in order to photograph it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your photos are really wonderful because they are imaginative and have beautiful shapes and abstract qualities. You really see beyond and into your subject matter. |
| Date: | October 12, 2004 | | Name: | Christa Acker | | Location: | Solon, OH | | Comments: | The photos you added to your Lightscape Gallery are quite spectacular, nature scenery as well as animals. I agree the "flying fish" is something else right above you in a canoe. I looked at canoes today on display in front of a sporting goods store and got lost in a dream. How did you get the close-up of the white headed eagle? It's so perfect! |

| Date: | June 18, 2004 | | Name: | Jeanie Peterson | | Location: | Tacoma, WA | | Comments: | Thank you for sharing such a great collection of photos with us, I am sorry, but I'm laid off right now, or I'd love to order some. It was important that I tell you that it's so rare for a photographer to share their photos in anything higher than 400-500 size, you gave me enough to see what the picture was about. By the way, are you from the Pacific NW? You kept coming back to Mt. Rainier, so I thought... I'm from Tacoma, WA, and am lucky enough to recognize many of the images you photographed. Thank you. |
