Here you will find a collection of my favorite images taken over my career. Each is carefully screened before it is considered for placement in the gallery, ensuring that it meets my highest standards for technical quality, composition and interest. Every image brings back a wonderful and cherished memory for me - a spectacular sunrise in the Himalaya, a bald eagle in flight in Alaska, a beam of light illuminating a slot canyon in the Southwest. These are often very fleeting moments of profound natural beauty that are witnessed by few and gone in the blink of an eye. But when properly captured through the medium of photography, they can be enjoyed and shared with others for a lifetime. This is both the challenge and reward that draws me to nature photography.

Recent excursions have included photographing feeding grizzly bears at McNeil River in Alaska, the misty waterfalls and rainforest of the Columbia Gorge, the exotic Shangri-La region of China, and the timeless beauty of Death Valley National Park. Upcoming trips are planned to photograph locations on Maui and canyon country in the Southwest.

Upcoming photo exhibits in Seattle include the Issaquah Salmon Days Festival in early October and the Edmonds Art Festival in June. The 2012 Lightscape Calendar is now available. Other work is on display at multiple Swedish Medical Center campuses, Providence Everett Medical Center in Everett, the Radia Vein Center at Mill Creek, at The Everest Kitchen in Shoreline. One photo has inspired a vivid poem I'm privileged to share with you called Climbers Moon Over Nepal.
